Wedding photography is usually about the faces: the bride, the groom, the bridal party, and all the guests. However, there are several objects that deserve special treatment from your Mississippi Wedding Photographers, as well.
1. The Rings
Before (or after) you and your spouse exchange vows, make sure your Mississippi Engagement Photographers grab a shot or two of the rings by themselves. Arrange them on a reflective surface, for example, or tie them together with a strip of tulle and hang them over the wedding arch.
The bride might also want photographs of her engagement ring. This can be accomplished while the ring is on or finger or by itself on a surface. For a creative image, add a shot of the groom reenacting his proposal.
2. The Dress
Since most brides only wear their dresses once, this particular garment becomes the star of the show. Before you put it on, ask your Mississippi Gulf Coast Wedding Photographers to take photographs of it by itself.
You might hang it over the door in your dressing room or drape it over an ornate chair in the reception area. Add the shoes you plan to wear for the ceremony, the veil, and any other garments you want to remember.
3. The Cake
In all its multi-tiered glory, the cake is the cherry on the top of your wedding. It comes at the end of the first meal you share with your new spouse, so ask your photographer to grab a couple images before you cut into it.
4. The Location
Wide-angle shots of the church, reception hall, garden, or other location of your wedding are also important. They “set the scene” of your wedding and often wind up at the beginning of your wedding album.
Close-up shots of the tables at the reception or wider shots of the dance floor are also appropriate. If you have any special requests, let your wedding photographers know ahead of time.
5. The Gifts
You might want to have your wedding photographer shoot images of you and your spouse opening your gifts at the reception. However, it is also a good idea to get a few images of the gifts before the beautiful wrapping is torn away.
Take a single photo of all the gifts piled on a table or on the floor, for example, and get close-up shots of individual gifts and their tags. Not only is this important for creating memories, but it might also help you remember who brought what for the thank-you cards.
